22. Up's Married Life Is In The Memory Orbs

Inside Out's director, Pete Docter's, previous film, Up, is widely regarded as one of Pixar's finest. The standout moment is the opening montage, which charts the life of Carl and Ellie from meeting as children all the way through to her death. It's an unflinchingly emotional scene that so dominates Pixar's work that it's only to be expected that Docter would sneak in a nod to it in his new film; elements of the incredible married life sequence can be seen (albeit incredibly hazy) in some of the memory orbs.
